ADDITIONS

   





Using numbers it is :     1  +  1  =  2

In words it is  : one plus one equals two 







Using numbers it is :     2  +  3  = 5
In words it is  :    two plus three equals five 









Using numbers it is :     3  +  2  = 5
In words it is  :    three plus two equals five



More examples :
1.)    5   +   1   =    1    +   5   =  6
2.)    7   +  11  =   11    +   7  = 18
3.)    4  + 100  =   100  +  4  = 104

Go down to the "3" row
then along to the "5" column,
and there is your answer! "8"




Did you see how we split the 12 into 1 Ten and 2 Units?
We then sent the 1 Ten to the top of the Tens column, so we will remember to add it when we do the Tens.
And there is a nice clear space for the Tens answer below.
